Marcus Knight comes to NY City on business. He never expected to find the perfect sub at a boring party he was attending. After a disastrous marriage and divorce, Marcus has kept him self aloof from the woman in his life, but there just something about Khari that draws him in.Khari Bradford is hoping for her big break on Broadway. A chance encounter, a night of passion, and a man that gives her something she’s only imagined changes her world. Many obstacles stand in their way... A misunderstanding might drive a wedge between Khair and Marcus before they explore what they found in each other. He life is in Dallas and her dreams are on Broadway. Can they bridge the divide or will the sexual passion be all they share. This is an intensely sexual story with descriptive BDSM encounters. With some BDSM romances, the story is lost with the amount of sexual interactions...this is definitely NOT the case with Master Knight. Gray Dixon perfectly balances story with eroticism, making it a smoldering sexual read with an intriguing and entertaining storyline.I received a copy of Master Knight from Gray Dixon in exchange for a honest review. Master Knight starts with a spanking and ends with a kiss: Maybe a little backwards in some circles, but for this hot, erotic BDSM it works just right. The BDSM elements in Master Knight are what I would call on the light side, some spanking and bondage, nothing heavy or dark. I loved the fact that the conflict in Master Knight doesn't revolve around the BDSM scene or it's elements. It results from a young and immature heroine and a lack of communication.I liked Marcus Knight and loved getting a look at the other members of the Master's of Tabu. I look forward to reading more books in this series.Hot and steamy, Master Knight ignites Khari's passions and they will ignite yours too. A good start to a new series.

I enjoyed this story about a jaded Dom and his younger submissive who still had a life to discover and dreams to make a reality. That type of struggle was believable and relatable. The story started in the present with Khari and Marcus in their third month of dating. Flashbacks throughout the story showed how they’d met and eventually became D/s.I liked that Khari was bold enough to explore her kinky side and open her heart to the possibility of love, but she was also smart to question his intentions when after months of playing together, she’d never been invited into his personal space. While it was sweet of him to not want to stand in the way of her dreams, as a Dom, I was a little surprised that he didn’t pick up on some of her conflicting emotions, nor did he tell her where she stood. As far as honesty in a D/s relationship, her eyes were finally opened when she realized he’d cleverly avoided answering any personal questions. The story took a bit of a nosedive for me with the misunderstanding that drove them apart. Creating a problem that could have easily been solved by simply talking to one another is a big pet peeve of mine. On top of that, she decided to tuck tail and run, not returning his calls or texts. That really was a little childish regardless of whether or not her heart had been crushed. Marcus wasn’t much better in that regard. He kept waffling between wanting to go after her and letting her go for her own good. At least he was clever enough to figure out where things had gone wrong, and he did everything he could to make things right. Brownie points for Marcus. Ultimately, I have to concede that their six, seven month separation had been for the best. It allowed Khari to have her dream and decide that she could have it all if she were open to the idea. The only downside to that separation was the zero character interaction. Seeing them go about their lives for nearly a year slowed the story down.Overall I did enjoy their struggle to find themselves and make a relationship work. A little less repetition about his hatred for his ex-wife and what she’d done to him would have been nice. Khari’s behavior at the end still showed a lack of maturity with her infuriating behavior. Marcus made the first move, but even after realizing that she wanted him in her life and planned to tell him, she kept saying hurtful things and lying to push him away (while her thoughts screamed at her to shut up). Playing games and expecting the man to be a mind reader is not a trait I’m particularly fond of. Regardless, I would read the next book in the series and hope for a less immature heroine.*Complimentary copy provided by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review.*

A May-December BDSM romance. When Khari Bradford meets Marcus Knight she is 22 and has been spoiled and overindulged by her parents her whole life. She left home for the bright lights of New York and Broadway to finally live the dream she wanted not the one her parents wanted for her. She was inexperienced when it came to sex but she knew she needed something with more edge. Marcus Knight had a dream when he was younger to become something and now at 33 he is a billionaire who runs and owns many companies including a BDSM Club he runs with his college buddies in Dallas. But he was unfulfilled in one area. After a disastrous divorce and a stalker, he has all but given up on finding that special woman. But on a business trip to New York on a roof top at a party he finds her and instantly claims her. For three months Marcus has been training her for his preferences. He was trying to create the prefect sub in Khari and she wanted to be his perfect sub. But many mistakes are made. The lack of communication outside of the scenes and sex was almost nonexistent. For a young 22 year old who isn’t a strong confident woman yet this is a critical mistake on Marcus part and after a misunderstanding Khari just walks out of his life with no explanation. Most of their relationship is told in flashbacks. We can see that it wasn’t just Khari’s age and innocence that caused the break. Marcus let his obsession with her get in the way of being the type of Dom and man he should have been with her. Seven months pass. During that time both of them grow and take ownership for what went wrong but will it be enough to start new when they meet again by chance or fate in Dallas.

Lust is Sweeter Love the Second Time Around - Master Knight by Gray Dixon"Marcus Knight, entrepreneur and CEO of Knight Enterprises, is a Dom with a darker side. Will Marcus return to Dallas and give Khari her dream, but lose the woman who makes his heart sing?"Master Knight is a scorching hot read by Ms Gray Dixon. It is explosive carnal pleasure between Marcus and Khari, and a meeting of minds and bodies that eventually goes beyond that. I am in awe at the way Ms Dixon writes. A balance of having the right amount of dialogue, and yes....sexy sex. Ms Dixon describes Marcus so well that I wish for my own Marcus Knight. I am sure that Master Prince, another novel written by Ms Dixon will be as hot as this first novel in the Masters of Tabu series.Another novel that will stay on my revolving bookshelf. I definitely intend to get the complete Mater of Tabu series and can't wait to get my eye teeth on Master Prince!Rating on a scale of 1-5: 5

I couldn’t put this book down. I got it yesterday afternoon and finished it last night. It was steaming hot and full of intensity. I love how Khari overcame her insecurities of being a small town girl and him being an older more sophisticated man. It took her a while, and he finally beat her to the punch, but after six long months she sees Marcus. And her knees tremble and her heart races. Marcus was hot as hell! I loved that we were introduced to his friends and the co-owners of Club Tabu. I can’t wait to read more about them. Gray Dixon is a new-to-me author, but she is awesome. I didn’t find the glaring typos and grammatical errors that I’ve been finding in a lot of the books I’ve been reading lately. She did a very good job of drawing you in and feeling the characters emotions. She writes BDSM very well!

What a great new series. Marcus has been burned a bit in the past and while he's open to a new relationship he doesn't think his dream girl really exists. And then there she is. Khari has had some dark fantasy and now they seem to be coming true. Both are developing feelings that neither has expressed so when a misunderstanding happens it almost derails the whole thing. Both have to be brave enough to try again. I can't wait to read the story about the rest of the guys.

Vikki’s MusingsI won Master Knight in a giveaway during the Secret Cravings 4th Anniversary Blog Hop. The author sent me a copy and I offered to do a review. I have not read many BDSM books, so I am not as familiar with this genre as I am with others. I found Master Knight well-written and edited. The story drew me in from the first page and kept me entertained to the finish.Khari Bradford is an aspiring dancer and wants chance to show her talents in a Broadway show, but to pay the bills she also works as an agent in a real estate office. At an open house, she meets Marcus Knight and is immediately drawn to him. Khari has always felt unfulfilled with her sexual relationships in the past. When Marcus introduces her to the lifestyle of BDSM, she finds out that this is what she has been missing. Three months into their Master/Submissive relationship, she overhears Marcus talking to someone on the phone and believes he is going to break things off. When she arrives at work the next day, she is fired for going through some files on Marcus. Fortunately, she finds out that she has been offered a part in a traveling show of the musical, Chicago. She refuses to answer any of Marcus’s texts or calls, even though he sends her numerous ones.Marcus tries to forget her over the next six months, but he cannot. He sets out to find her. Can Marcus convince Khari that he wants to be her Dom and her ‘Knight in Shining Armor’ permanently, or will she allow her insecurities to keep them apart? This is an intriguing story of an older man and a younger woman trying to establish a Dom/Submissive relationship. The scenes are explicit and what is expected in this genre and very hot to say the least. Although this books borders on erotica, it does have a satisfying romance going on as well.My one complaint is that the couple are separated for six months and go on with their lives. While the author has both the hero and the heroine having fantasies regarding their time together, this does slow the pacing down a bit, but not enough to make the story drag. The heroine does come across as very immature at times, but after all, she is only twenty-two, compared to Marcus’s thirty-three years. Her reason for running away from Marcus is somewhat weak. However this tale does have a very satisfying ending.I enjoyed their romance and the story is accurate in the BDSM components compared to other books I have read in this genre. This is the first book in the Masters of Tabu series, and I look forward to reading the other stories. Happy reading!

When lines of communication get twisted, can two lovers just starting out get back together? When one is a masterful Dom and the other an innocent, can bridges burned be rebuilt again?Marcus Knight is a wealthy multi-business professional with a side interest in BDSM. He and his college buddies own a club in Dallas called Club Tabu. There we meet the guys that are going to haunt the pages of this series, and they are all interesting characters in their own right. I can see good things happening here.Khari and Marcus Knight meet and sparks fly. When they discover each other and Knight finds Khari able to handle his darkest desires, he is determined to have her. There are some deliciously hot sex scenes with some kink that went down like a salted caramel mocha. Very nice. BDSM elements abound, but they are limited to spanking, some really graphic sex and language. Nothing too dark, actually. When Khari overhears a phone conversation between Marcus and someone on the other end (his lawyer), she jumps to a conclusion that it is about her. Hurt and bewildered, she leaves. Marcus is devastated. His new pet is gone and he can’t get her back at any cost. She is just simply, gone. Will it be over or will the lovers find a way to get past the miscommunication and get back together? Not telling, but the ending is well done and made me want to read more by this author.Only two points stuck out for me in this book. One was some of the dialog. In a couple of places, it felt forced, but that did not detract overall from my enjoyment of the book. The other was the mention of Master Knight’s dark desires and his angst over finding the right woman to share them with. Kind of like a kinky Cinderella story, but without the shoes. Flogging and spanking, in my mind, are not dark desires, but as with all elements of BDSM, we all travel a different path. Master Knight was an enjoyable read that takes you through the relationship between Khari and Marcus Knight. Written primarily in flashbacks, the story line was stirred up enough that what I thought was going to be a typical BDSM story became something a little more lively and kept me turning the pages.Reviewed by: ErzabetTags: BDSM

DNF 60%. Really wanted to like this, but started skimming 1/3 way through. Chemistry wasn't working for me. Dialogue was a little stilted and scenes did not hold my interest. Would like to know how it ends, but not enough to skim through the rest.
